Smoked Bucket Chicken


5 Gallon Metal Bucket (paint burned off)
3 Wooden Stakes
3 Whole Chickens
Butter (spray butter)
Hickory Chips (about 2 handfuls
Seasonings of Choice
Tin Foil(15x15)
8 lb. bag of Charcoal
Cotton String (about 3-4 ft)

Drive 3 stakes into the ground, after laying foil down, close enough to put the chickens on and the bucket over top. season chicken and place breasts out on the stakes. Tie chickens tightly in place, not to lose any meat. Spray butter all around on the chickens. Place hickory chips under the chickens. Put the bucket over the staked chickens and pour the charcoal around the bucket and light.
The chickens should cook for at least3-3 1/2 hours.
